Masters of Business Administration is a degree in business management. The MBA degree is the best known degree around the world and most widely renowned post-graduate degree. It was created to assist engineers acquire management skills, but nowadays MBA degrees concentrate on a broad range of subjects. The MBA degree is considered as a professional degree as well as an academic or traditional Masters’ degree. These types of degrees are usually offered by management or business schools. MBA degrees originally appeared in the USA, because of the quick industrialization process that needed companies to use scientific ways of management. The first two commerce schools - Wharton and University of Chicago appeared in 1890s. The first business school in Europe was created at the University of St.Gallen in 1898. After the US MBA model, Europeans found centers of excellence in business at the universities of Manchester and London. Simple management programs began at the Cass Business School in London, IMD, INSEAD and Henley Management College aiming to offer running training for fast-streaming employees. Though, these training programs did not complete the conditions to be considered a formal MBA degree and they did not hold the title ‘MBA degree’. The Executive Master of Business Administration was formed for the first time at the University of Chicago in 1943, concentrating on quality training for older executives. The main admittance criteria for these type of programs lies in important business experience. These EMBAS are highly discriminating and they are training the top tier business talents of the companies around the world. They are very famous for the qualitative education and talented specialists they train.
